You know how I keep saying that I guess it's not that big a deal if I don't get a strip up on time, given that I don't have any readers yet anyway? (In which case, who's the "you" that sentence is addressed to? Hypothetical future readers, I guess.) Well, I've decided it's about time to try to change that. No, not the not getting the strip up on time, which I kind of like to think I've already changed. No, the part about not having any readers. Now that the site is mobile-friendly (or -friendler) and the archive page is working, it's time to try to get people visiting it.
How do I do that? Well, I'm really not sure; back when I first started the strip back in 2000, I managed to get some readership, but there were a lot fewer webcomics back then, so it was a lot easier for one to get noticed. Still, I'm going to try. I went ahead and submitted the strip to Top Web Comics and the Webcomic List, which I guess is a start... or I began the process of submitting them there but then realized I kind of need to make link images. I had an old banner image for Soup, once upon a time, but, well... it was an old banner image, and I should probably redo it. So... that's something I'll maybe try to get to today. After that... uh, maybe I'll actually have to do some advertising on those sites, although I don't have a lot of money, so... well, we'll see. But, like I said, just submitting the comic to those sites is a start, at least...
By the way, should it be "in the Mountains of the Gods" or "on the Mountains of the Gods"? I feel like I've been using both prepositions more or less interchangeably, and I feel like I should probably try to be consistent. Hm.
