Soup the Comic Strip by Alun Clewe
Comic strip for March 21 2024.
PANEL ONE: Angle on the champion, with Snormar in the foreground. CHAMPION: Okay, look, there's a seven–year–old boy who occasionally turns into a monster. Only he can't help it, and he has no control over what he does while he's in that form. PANEL TWO: Angle on Snormar, with the champion in the foreground. CHAMPION: So you see, if you killed the monster, you'd be killing an innocent child. We've got to figure out a way to stop the monster WITHOUT killing it. PANEL THREE: Close on Snormar, considering. SNORMAR: If thy tale be true, then what thou sayest hath merit...hmm... PANEL FOUR: Side angle on Snormar and the champion. SNORMAR: What if I just hack its limbs off? CHAMPION: Also probably not an ideal solution

Okay, when I've said that I really need to start making new strips before my buffer runs out? It occurs to me that I have to make one new strip much sooner than that. I mentioned before that the original strip for April 1, 2001 was part of a "April Fools comic swap", drawn by the creator of a different strip, but that I did not intend to run that strip this time around. (How was there an April Fools' strip on April 1, 2001 if I was running so far behind schedule at the time? Simple; because the strip was out of continuity anyway I just ran the April 1 strip even though the previous strip that had gone up was the November 5, 2000 strip, intending to fill in the intermediate strips later.) This means, of course, that I'll need to draw a new strip to take its place. Which, because of the leap year issue, will now be up on March 31, so... I've got about a week and a half to do it. Okay, I'm going to make that a high priority this week.
