Soup the Comic Strip by Alun Clewe
Comic strip for April 2 2024.
PANEL ONE: Erlak and Lambor lean on the bar. ERLAK: I dunno, Lambor. Sometimes I feel like I can't do anything right. PANEL TWO: Close on Lambor. LAMBOR: Well, I think you were doing a lot better running the bar than I did. If it makes you feel any better, while you were gone I accidentally spilled half a bowl of soup on Cosuhuica, Goddess of Snow. PANEL THREE: Erlak looks at Lambor. PANEL FOUR: Erlak smiles. ERLAK: Actually, that DOES make me feel better. ERLAK: Though I'd feel even better if it had happened to Thrumger.

Whoops. Okay. So after creating each strip in Adobe Illustrator, I export it to Photoshop. In Photoshop, I do three things. First, I trim any excess off the edges. Second, I resize the strip to 750 pixels wide and proportionately tall. And third, of course, I save it as a PNG. But sometimes I forget to do that middle step, and sometimes I don't realize that I forgot to do the middle step until the strip goes live, and then this happens:

A screenshot of the page with a severely oversized strip, only the top left corner of which is visible.

It's fixed now, of course, but... I have to be more careful not to do that. It's easy to tell that the strip hasn't been properly resized from the filesize; I just need to make sure to pay attention to the filesize when I upload the strips.
