PANEL ONE: The champion looks around. CHAMPION: Wait...you run this place? ERLAK: Well...only as of a couple months ago. But yeah. PANEL TWO: Angle on Erlak, with the champion on the foreground. ERLAK: So, what do you think? Looks like old Erlak's not all that hopeless after all, eh? PANEL THREE: Side angle close-up of the champion and Erlak. CHAMPION: Why, yes. I'm bursting with pride to know I'm serving a divine BARTENDER. ERLAK: That's bar–of–SOUP–tender! ERLAK: Or just souptender. ERLAK: Nah, I guess “bartender” is probably best.

So I said in yesterday's commentary that I'd finally finished something that I'd been meaning to do for a while, and if you've been reading these commentaries consistently, which of course you haven't, you've probably guessed that I finally wrote the next week's worth of strips! (As in, not next week, but the week after my buffer runs out.) Well, mostly; I have a few lines in middle panels that I haven't firmed up the wording of, and I haven't actually written the Sunday strip yet, but at least I've written the gist of six new strips. Now of course I have to draw them... which I won't do today, because I am once again going to be working at a far-flung location without internet access or even a phone signal.
