Okay, I haven't been getting as much done as I should have on the site lately, or on making new strips, but one thing I have been doing that I suppose is not entirely irrelevant to Soup is taking a class on Udemy on Adobe Illustrator, which I just finished yesterday. I've drawn Soup in Illustrator since the beginning, but I really haven't been using all the program's features as well as I could have been. Prominent case in point: I should have been (and from now on will be) using character styles for the dialogue, rather than manually setting the font and size each strip. Also, I ought to make color palettes for various recurring characters and settings, rather than picking the colors using the eyedropper from past strips or from template files created for that purpose.
