PANEL ONE: Erlak looks down at Nizini, slightly annoyed. ERLAK: I'm going to ask Tagaidin, the god of daring. _He'll_ go exploring with me. NIZINI: Erlak, you and I both know you're only doing this to avoid going back to the Dive Divine. PANEL TWO: Smiling, Erlak puts his hand to his chest in excitement. ERLAK: And then I'm going to go places even the gods never dreamed of, and see things no god or mortal ever imagined! NIZINI: You know what you really want to do is go hang out there again. PANEL THREE: Closer on the two of them, framing only the left half of Erlak's face and the top half of Nizini's. ERLAK: And maybe in a secret place far from the well-traveled trails, I'll find something, some secret, that will better even the lives of the gods! NIZINI: Why don't you just swallow your pride and go back? No one's going to care about one rash outburst. PANEL FOUR: Erlak keeps talking without acknowledging Nizini. ERLAK: And then I'll be a hero and everybody will be happy... NIZINI: Or, hey, you could just tune me out and live in a fantasy world. That's an option too.
