Comic strip for December 29 2023.
PANEL ONE: Maiz ties a rope around his waist. MAIZ: There. PANEL TWO: Maiz talks to Nezhoni. MAIZ: I've got an idea. The trapdoor's probably set off by weight, so I'm going to jump in with a rope tied around my waist. NEZHONI: Knock yourself out. PANEL THREE: Maiz jumps into the pit. MAIZ: Here I goooo... PANEL FOUR: The end of the rope falls into the pit. PANEL FIVE: Nezhoni looks into the pit. NEZHONI: You know, that might have been a better idea if you had actually tied the other end of the rope to something.

Dagnabbit, I was late getting this strip up again (and no, I still haven't got the rest of the strips uploaded for the week). You know what? I'm going to stop saying I'm going to get the rest of the week's strips relettered and uploaded soon, because (a) clearly I'm not going to, and (b) the rest of the week only has a few days left at this point. I'm going to try not to be late with the next few day's strips, but I don't promise anything, and anyway since no one's reading this it doesn't matter anyway. But as of the new year, I'll get ahead again and stop getting the strips up so late. And also I'll do something to publicize the strip and try to bring in some readers.
