Comic strip for December 27 2023.
PANEL ONE: Maiz and Nezhoni look at the pit into which the champion has fallen. CHAMPION (off panel): There's a rope in the left-hand saddlebag... Could you tie it to something and throw it down? NEZHONI: Oh, sure... PANEL TWO: Close on Nezhoni NEZHONI: I'll just fish around in the saddlebag for it, and pull it out, then I'll tie it to a tree with a good strong knot, and then I'll gently toss one end down into the pit for you... PANEL THREE: Nezhoni yells into the pit, while Maiz stands nearby. NEZHONI: Oh, wait, that's right... I'M A QUADRUPED! MAIZ: Uh... I can do it.

I don't think being a quadruped necessarily entails not having manipulating appendages. Aren't centaurs technically quadrupeds? Also, there are bipeds that don't have manipulating appendages, like kiwis. I think it's more or less clear what Nezhoni means, but I don't think that word really completely conveys the concept.

Anyway, once again I forgot to get this strip up until the afternoon. Yes, I should be getting the strips uploaded farther in advance rather than the night before (or, like today, the day of), and I have been in the past, but I haven't been doing that this week because I've got a lot of other things I had to take care of and I have limited time. After the new year I should have a little more free time and have a chance to get a load of strips relettered and uploaded at once so this won't keep happening. Although of course it doesn't take any more total time to get a week's worth of strips done all at once than it does to get them one day at a time, so... I should do that. Get the rest of the week's strips relettered and uploaded, I mean. I'll do that tonight. Sorry.
