Comic strip for September 8 2023.
PANEL ONE: Holding the amulet, the female adventurer tries to run off, but is blasted by DeVallon with his ring of lightning. The male adventurer looks on aghast. DEVALLON: You're not going anywhere. MAN: Ligiani! NOOOOOOO! PANEL TWO: DeVallon kneels over the woman's corpse. DEVALLON: You didn't really think I'd let you leave, did you? Especially not with the amulet. You try to interfere with DeVallon, you pay the price. PANEL THREE: DeVallon starts to stand. DEVALLON: And now for... PANEL FOUR: As DeVallon approaches the remaining adventurer, the latter stabs him through the chest with his sword. DEVALLON: You... MAN: Actually, I'm as surprised by this turn of events as you are.

Oh, I said in the commentary to the September 3, 2023 strip that I had plans for two of the items DeVallon named to play a prominent role in the story. I guess I'd forgotten the ring of lightning also plays a role in the story, in that he kills Ligiani with it, but it's not one of the two items I was thinking of. There are two other items that are going to play prominent roles in the story.

(I also wasn't thinking of the Amulet of Ygraine, which I guess also does sort of play a prominent role in the story. There are still at least two other items here besides the ring of lightning and the Amulet of Ygraine that are going to become important.)

Hold on, I didn't say that in the commentary to that strip at all; I said it in the title text that appears when you hover over the strip. Hm. Well, I said it, at any rate. (Or wrote it.)
